Pool Thoughts…

I don’t know why I’m the only one in my family who always seems to get a random Summer illness, but this year the cold has struck and I’m out of the pool until I get better.

It’s times like these when I realize how much I miss my daily swim, and how awesome it is to get in the pool and at least cool off.  My lap suit is looking at me from the closet with neglect, and all I can do is drink my tea and hope for wellness to come quickly.

On the note of fitness swimming, we’ll have a new addition to our family here in the next couple weeks.  We’re happy to be bringing TYR swimwear on board, and our goal is to have an awesome selection of fitness swimwear year-round.  Speedo is also coming out with their 2011 line, so look for those guys here soon as well.  In the meantime, swim a few laps for me…

Cheers,

Steph

Summer is Here!

Oh beautiful sun!!!  We have missed you!!!

Bend is normally known for its nice sunny weather, but this Spring has really thrown us for a loop.  The rain stayed with us until yesterday, but today is finally nice and warm.  My flip-flops got to make their first appearance out of the closet, and I am ready for those rays!

Our Summer season is upon us, and we’re going to be uploading lots of great swimsuits, yoga wear, and everyday clothing in the next few days.  Look for the great new additions to our Speedo line, as well as our awesome Roxy and Reef surfing suits.   If you have any questions about the new stuff, feel free to call or e-mail us, and we’ll be happy to help out in any way.  Thanks for visiting, and think sun!!!

Cheers,

Steph and the Gear Gals

January in April

We thought it was over, but Winter has given us the treat of January in April!  Daffodils and crocuses are trying to bloom, and on the hill they’ve gotten 6″ of fresh powder…yay for the snow gods!!!

Speaking of confusion, we are going to have to get Ragnar the shop dog in to a 12-step program called “stick eaters anonymous.”  He has a penchant for Juniper wood, and yesterday he turned his attentions to the chair leg…naughty!  He got a big time-out for that, and hopefully he will mend his ways and admit his addiction.  Wood is not a food source.

We’ve got the new yoga wear coming in every day now, so look for our new brand Zobha to be up on the site later this weekend.  It is beautiful and very elegant, but tough at the same time.  We love it, and can’t wait to share more with you!  Also in the pipeline are Alo, as well as our spring shipment of Prana…keep your eyes peeled!  Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers,

Stephany

Spring Thoughts…

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and I heard my first squirrel of the season this morning…was the ground hog wrong for the west coast?  Is it wrong that I’m looking forward to teaching my puppy to swim, and am jealous of all the gals heading to Mexico and the Caribbean?

My skis and snowboard are giving me the dirty look like: “you better not cheat on us while the snow is still on!”

Okay, okay, so we still have some snow left, and our friends on the East Coast are still getting slammed…It’s just been a wacky Winter this year.  I’m not sure if this nice weather will stick around, but today is begging for a barbecue.

Hope wherever you are you can think Spring thoughts…

Cheers,

Stephany

This Is The Beginning…

Wow…welcome to the brave new world of Sugar Sports online!  I feel like I’ve just given birth to something…this site has been a long time coming, and has involved the heart and souls of all us Gear Gals.  We’ve brought together an awesome selection of our winter stuff, and keep checking back as we begin to get in our Spring yoga, swimwear, footwear, and other fun stuff!

So this first entry might sound a bit like an ad, but in the future you can check back and we’ll be chatting about all sorts of stuff.

Today, in honor of the impending day of the Valentine, I’m thinking about chocolate.  Specifically, have you ever had one of those chocolates that you weren’t quite sure of, and then when you tasted it, it was awesome?  I had that experience with this chocolate that was icky green (no kidding!) and when I ate it, the flavor was key lime with white chocolate…a very delicious experience after I got over that color…

Here’s hoping that your day is filled with pleasant surprises, and hopefully some chocolate too…
